TUFFALLOY is a new chemistry developed by Hapco, based on a new generation of polymer technology to meet today's market demands for prototype and low production parts needs.

 

 TUFFALLOY 4200 SERIES   Liquid Molding Compounds with thermoplastic properties. High impact, high heat distortion, low viscosity, and excellent physical properties are presently available.

 

TUFFALLOY 5030 SERIES   Liquid Molding Compounds with thermoplastic properties. High impact, high heat distortion, low viscosity, and excellent for prototype parts and short run production parts

TUFFALLOY 4200 Series

Available in (4) speeds:

  • 15 minute working life 6 hour demold

  • 7 minute working life   2 hour demold

  • 2 minute working life   4-6 minute demold with heated molds,   8-20 minutes at room temperature

  • 1 minute working life   3-4 minute demold with heated molds,   4-10 minute demold at room temperature

  • The user has the ability to use different speeds, typically using a slower speed initially, and increasing to a fast set, 1 minute working life.

  • The switch or interchangeability of TUFFALLOY  materials is easily done without any changes in physical properties.

PROCESSING:

  • TUFFALLOY can be pressure cast, vacuum cast, or open cast.

  • For best results, TUFFALLOY 4274/5 and 4284/5 should be used with Hapco's metering/dispensing equipment, RAPIDFIL and/or RAPIDSHOT.

TUFFALLOY 5030 has a short cycle time, providing a high volume of parts per day. 

TUFFALLOY  5030 is excellent for snap fits, used in abusive environments
