HAPREZ 3742
Economical General
Purpose Laminating & Binder Systems
Economical
Low Viscosity Multi-Purpose
-
An amber
clear, general purpose, and economical system that be used as is, or with a
variety of fillers, for virtually all room temperature casting and
laminating applications.
-
As a
laminating system, the extremely low viscosity of
HAPREZ 3742
provides superior penetration and wetting of the fiberglass, and
makes it especially advantageous for spraying with chopped fiberglass.
-
For
casting,
HAPREZ 3742
may be used unfilled for casting small, amber clear parts, or it may be
heavily filled with sand for making throwaway molds and mock-ups. Larger
parts can also be cast with high loadings of aluminum, and walnut shells for
low cost and machinability, or with wood flour for making tooling putty.
-
HAPREZ 3742
is one of our most versatile products, and can be used almost
universally in all room temperature applications.

High Performance
Laminating Paste
High heat/high performance
high strength Fast and economical
Eliminates fiberglass cloth laminating easy handling viscosity
Reduces repairs Low shrinkage
-
A
room curing, smooth/thixotropic, color coded high performance, heat resistant,
laminating paste which eliminates the need for labor intensive fiberglass cloth
laminating procedures. HAPREZ 3744can be mixed in a high viscosity mixer, such
as; a dough mixer, or by hand. The part A and the various Part B's are color
coded, and when thoroughly mixed a different color is obtained.
-
Can be spread by hand (disposable protective gloves should be worn) or with a
trowel to the desired thickness.
Spreads smoothly and quickly, reducing labor time by as much as 75%.
Fast and reduces costs dramatically.
-
Various cure times and heat distortion temperatures, up to
350ºF, are available through a choice of color coded curing agents.
Properties will vary depending on hardener used. (see
MIX RATIO CHART)
-
Some applications for
HAPREZ 3744
are tooling, molds, fixtures, gages, and parts.
-
Can be used
with any HAPCOAT surface coat, both flexible and rigid, depending on desired
properties.

Laminating System
Close tolerance system
Low Viscosity Easy to use
-
A low viscosity, room curing
laminating system that is specifically formulated for use in automotive
tooling aids, duplicates, Keller models, fixtures, spotting racks, foundry
tools, and all other applications requiring laminates for use up to 200º F.
-
Provides excellent wetting
characteristics on fiberglass cloth, and its smooth handling and excellent
wetting qualities make it quick and easy to use. Its low viscosity
characteristics also enables hand application by brush, roller, squeegee, or
conventional internal mix spraying equipment.
-
Non-settling during storage and
use, to yield completely uniform results with every use. It is also
non-sagging to insure that the glass stays in place during fabrication and
curing, and its long pot life characteristic enables continuous, non-stop
laminating to any desired thickness.
-
While yielding exceptionally high
strength properties, HAPREZ 3746 is also a close tolerance system.
Low shrinkage factors of 0.0005 per linear inch are customarily obtained
with this system, making it ideal for close tolerance applications.
