HAPCAST 3731  All Purpose Casting System   Thin Tooling compound

HAPCAST 3731 is a truly unique polymer alloy system, with the following features:

  • Can be used with a variety of curing agents to suit virtually every casting need

  • Small to large mass

  • Low to high temperature applications

  • Easily poured system

  • Short term exposure to 275°F and continuous service at 250° F

  • Easily machined with regular tools

  • Drilled, tapped, milled, sanded, ground, polished and turned in a lathe

  • Shrinkage as low as .00075 per linear inch can be obtained through proper selection of curing agent for any given mass. (See Hapcast 3731 curing agent chart)

  • Molds - both prototype and production molds can be made with 
    quickly and at low cost

Typical uses for HAPCAST 3731 are:

  • Molds for open cast plastics and urethanes

  • Compression molds

  • Prototype injection molds

  • Vacuum forming molds

  • Duplicate and master models

  • Keller models

Our best aluminum filled, all-purpose tooling compound.

A unique polymer alloy system, with the following new features:

  • Can be used with a variety of curing agents to suit virtually every casting need

  • Small to large mass, and low to high temperature applications

  • Short-term exposure to 400°F, and continuous service at 325°F is possible with this system

  • Increased service temperature will be realized over other casting systems.

  • Provides excellent heat transfer properties

  • Easily mixed and poured

  • May be used with all curatives all are non-staining

  • Non crystallizing

  • Liquid systems with unusually low mixed viscosities for easy mixing and pouring at room temperature

  • Parts are easily machined with regular tools

  • Can be drilled, tapped, sanded, ground, polished and turned in a lathe

  • Molds - both prototype and production molds can be made in several days

  • Fraction of the cost of metal tooling

HAPCAST 3736  Steel Casting System


EXCELLENT MACHINABILITY      HIGH DENSITY       LOW VISCOSITY       HOMOGENEOUS

 

HAPCAST 3736 is a room or elevated temperature curing, casting and tooling compound

  • Steel filled

  • Low viscosity

  • Excellent viscosity and high density

  • Good air release and good wettability of all surfaces

  • Very low shrinkage

  • Ensures the user of an exact reproduction of the original model

  • May be used in large castings

  • Provides excellent toughness, impact strength, and thermal conductivity

HAPCAST 3736 advantages

  • May be easily drilled, tapped, milled, sawed, etc., with regular metal working tools

  • For tough, high-density castings that can be used in high performance applications.

  • Easily mixed and poured

  • Non-staining

  • Non-staining curatives

  • Non crystallizing

  • Liquid systems with unusually low mixed viscosities for easy mixing and pouring at room temperature

  • Fillers stay in suspension, during curing process, insuring uniform density and mechanical properties

LOW VISCOSITY      POROUS FREE CASTINGS       EXCELLENT MACHINABILITY       HIGH STRENGTH

 

HAPCAST 3738 features:   

  • Black, high density, machinable, easy-to-pour, rigid, thermosetting system. 

  • Compatible with a variety of HAPCO curing agents, allowing the system to be customized to the application.

  •  High specific gravity for aiding in porous free castings.
