GREASE-IT II

Film forming release  ·  Water Soluble  ·

Does not transfer to the casting  ·  Sprayable and brushable

Film forming release

  • A thin liquid that air dries to form a barrier coat over the pattern or mold, without any adverse affects on surface texture, detail or dimensions.

  • Designed for use on mold making applications and difficult release applications.

  • Recommended whenever brush-on gel coats or surface coats are used.

  • Forms a film to allow brushing and working of the gel coats without causing the release coat to wipe off or to wipe onto the surface of the coat being applied.

  • A transfer type releasing film which adheres to and demolds with the cast part then easily washed off with water.

Directions For Use

APPLICATION TECHNIQUES:

SPRAY

Spraying with conventional, air pressurized canisters or paint spray equipment is the most effective means of applying a thin, uniform film of GREASE-IT TWO. Apply two to four thin coats in opposite directions, drying between each coat. While spraying, do not dwell in any one area or hold the gun too close to the surface to avoid "running" and /or excessive build-up. Rather, deposit a fine mist, with uniform motion. The ideal film thickness can be recognized by the appearance of a green tint to the applied coating. In addition to drying fast, spray applied GREASE-IT TWO also yields the best part surface because of its uniformity of application.

(Note: Residue build-up can occur in the spray canister. To prevent clogging of the spray gun and/or irregular spray patterns, flush GREASE-IT TWO from canister and wash after each use.)

BRUSH

Use a high quality brush and apply with smooth strokes.

For best results dry between coats with the aid of a hair dryer

CLEAN UP:

GREASE-IT TWO
may be removed by washing vigorously with water.

STORAGE:
These polymer systems have a minimum shelf life of one year.  When not in use, containers should be kept tightly closed.

PRECAUTIONS:
Skin or eye contact with polymers should be avoided. Clean housekeeping procedures are urged and the use of gloves and/or protective creams suggested. All polymers, as a general practice, should be used in well-ventilated areas.  Spot ventilation is most effective. Contaminated clothing should be removed immediately and the skin washed with soap and water or waterless skin cleaner. Should accidental eye contact occur, wash thoroughly with water and consult a physician. Keep away from open flames.
